The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. Ed Martin here. It’s the Pro America Report. Great to be together again.
The weekend seems so long for me to get back here with you. I hope you had a great weekend. I hope people had a chance to get away. I know a lot of people are back in school, so it may be that people are already in school. Kids are in school. Traffic is different because of school. It’s just lots of worries about school. But I hope people had a good… still feels like summer to me.
Hey, we’ve got a great program today. I want to encourage you to tune in. Joe Johnston, who has written a book called The Decline of Nations, which you’ve heard me talk about. He’ll be with us in a few moments.
And we’ll also get an update, a prolife update from the American Life League. They have an effort to watch taxpayer funding for abortion. Well, excuse me. We’ll talk with Jim Sedlak, who is the vice President of the American Life League about pro life issues.
Before, let’s get to what you need to know. It’s kind of a preview for our interview with my old friend Joe Johnston. And Joe Johnston is a man who doesn’t need an introduction. He is a man who you’ve heard me talk about a whole bunch of times here in the program. The Decline of Nations is his book.
He’s writing another book on the Communist revolutions and the revolutions that started in the early 1900s and all the way through into the modern era.
But his book, The Decline of Nations, takes a look at the Roman Empire, the British Empire, and then America and makes an argument about what happens when nations decline. Now, the reason why I’m taking this up as part of the beginning of the program.
What you need to know — We call the WYNK, the Daily WYNK. What you need to know is the question you have to watch as you see all the coverage of ineptitude at the White House. The question you have to ask is what else is happening? What are we not focused on?
We’re focused on the loss of military weaponry. We’re focused on the loss of American lives. We’re focused on the loss of allied lives. People who did, fought by our side, some of them.
But here’s the trick – right now, in this country, in this nation, American nation, we’re focused on our nation. Do you realize that we are literally, literally being inundated by people who are not American? They’re not American citizens. They’re not particularly attuned to the American ethos.
So we’re talking about a million, 2 million that are coming across the Southern border. We’re now talking about refugees from Afghanistan. In the hundreds of thousands could be a million. As things get worse, why wouldn’t you try to get out of Afghanistan if you could?
If you’re a woman in Afghanistan, can’t you raise your hand and say, I don’t want to stay here? And isn’t that going to be compelling? I mean, humanly compelling.
And you see, if you look closely, that if you get to America from Afghanistan, you’ll never be deported, you’ll never be sent out of America. If you get to Europe, many of the European Nations, you will never get removed from those places.
Now, I will put aside for now a conversation about the quality of the people you’re admitting to your nation. Because in the context of refugees, by definition, if someone is fleeing from some kind of persecution, some kind of major problem, by definition, they’re refugees.
The question is, who’s really a refugee and who’s just going to America, coming to America? And here’s the combination that so, this is the question, this is the issue no one… Well, I fear we’re not watching, because while you fight for critical race theory, change, reform, elimination, and control the school boards, what you have is a school system that welcomes people to America, into the school system and doesn’t particularly train them in the history of America and the American ethos in a positive way.
So it’s not just that we’re welcoming people to America that are foreign from our culture. Afghanis, African nationals, Mexicans, Pick a…doesn’t matter what nationality. They’re all not American, but they’re coming in, and they’re being put into a system that’s not training them to be American.
So we’re in a double trick box. I mean, when you came to America, and I know it will sound like I’m just looking back into the era and saying, “oh, look at that. When my people came…” If you came from Ireland in the 1890s or the 1900s, you didn’t have a safety net except for St. Patrick’s Church, or if you came from Italy, St. Anthony’s Church, or if you came from Hungary… well Hungary was later… In St. Louis, Our Lady of Sorrows.
So if you’re Jewish, you came in the synagogues, became your safety net, you found the synagogue. You found a community and you were brought into America. You were brought into the American ethos.
Now, if you come to America, you’re unlikely to be brought into the American ethos. The media is against American specialness, exceptionalism. The education system is not teaching it. The higher ed is not teaching it. The system around us is less and less American centric.
At our core, it looks more like Britain, socialist and policy- wise different than America. The rule of law, we had that tradition. The sort of the theory, the American theory that your word was viable, and you could shake hands, and that would be sufficient.
So in America right now, in our nation, we are being overrun. And that’s not fair. That’s not fair, let me take it back. We have a government that is set up in such a way that for whatever reasons, there could be many, I can’t read everybody’s mind, but it looks like it’s intentional. So I’ll just say I think it looks intentional.
But for whatever reason, we’re letting America be inundated by people who are not American, are not of the American ethos and are coming into a system where they’re not going to be exposed to the American ethos (media).
They’re not going to be encouraged to understand and be educated in the American ethos (education system).
In fact, they’re looking around and they’re seeing government manipulated, the system manipulated. And it looks a lot like other places, maybe places they’ve come from, where proximity to power is power, not principle to power, proximity to power.
And the refugees. As I saw on Twitter, someone tweeted, you will never deport someone from Afghanistan. Let me say it again. Afghanis, when they get here, they could be the worst guys, the worst gals. They could be the most corrupt. They could be drug dealers, they could be pimps. We won’t know.
And you can’t tell me, look, if somebody shows me, that shows me, “Okay, here’s so and so was a translator on the front lines of the battle.” That’s a different category.
But as someone pointed out, what was it? There was 200,000 people on the ground and there was something like 100,000 people claiming to be translators and interpreters. Really? Sounds like the system is broken.
And back to my point, whether they’re doing it on purpose to destroy America, I can’t tell. I can’t read their hearts and minds. What they’re doing is on a course to destroy America because you’re welcoming millions of people who are who do not currently share the American ethos, the American set of values.
And they’re being introduced into an America in 2021 where there will be no expectation, no realistic expectation that they will be trained and taught into about the American ethos, the American way of life, the values. So you’re setting up America for destruction.
Now, what do you do about it? It’s easy. Stop anyone from coming, period. The other countries are doing this. Poland has got some people on the border that Russia is doing it. They’re saying, hey, hey, hey. We’re not taking refugees. Until you guys get fog of war cleared on who’s who, don’t even tell us to try to take people.
We should have the courage to say, look, if the EU wants to be loud about the desire to take refugees, have at it. Let Germany take another million. They took a million refugees a few years ago. It’s a disaster for their country.
And again, it’s not, back to my guest in a few moments, Joe Johnson, the Decline in Nations, I’m not talking about… If America was the America of 1905, I would have at least a different understanding of what was possible because the system people were coming into was likely to create assimilation into the American ethos. American values and rule law.
It’s not that way now. So we have to stop. It has to stop 100%. Stop the inundation, stop the invasion, and regroup. And we’ve had this before. We’ve talked about it all the time. We’ve had pauses, a complete pause in immigration after World War Two.
We have to stop that. All right, we have to take a break. When we come back, Joe Johnston, who is the author of The Decline Nations, will be with us.
We’ll also talk to, as I mentioned, to the great new…get update on Pro Life from Jim Sedlak. So hang in there.
