The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. And it’s time, as it always is, as we begin for what you need to know. The Daily WYNK – what you need to know and it is Crisis Afghanistan: Day 9. Crisis Afghanistan: Day 9.
What you need to know is it’s no longer possible to call this incompetence. It’s at least negligence or worse. Let’s talk about that. That’s today’s WYNK, what you need to know.
All right. So Ed Martin here, ProAmericaReport.com. If you go to ProAmericaReport.com, you can sign up right there for the daily email. The Daily WYNK. What you need to know. It comes into your inbox 05:00 a.m. Pacific Time 08:00 a.m. East coast time – in between 07:00 a.m. in the Central Time and 06:00 in the mountains if you’re in the Rocky Mountains or anywhere else.
So that’s what you know. That’s where you gotta go. ProAmericaReport.com, sign up there. Lots of standalone links are there, the great interviews we do. So many great… And by the way, I have such a good time. I interview these great guests that write books and then when I have a question, I just email them and I say, hey, can you help me with this?
So I actually am looking right now at Old Abe, the book on Abe Lincoln by John Cribb, published by Republic Book Publishers. I’ve had him on the show three or four times. It’s a great book. It’s a great book. It’s a historical fiction, kind of a novelized coverage of Abe Lincoln from the time he was about to run for President until he died. And it’s just extraordinary. It’s really well done.
Anyway. I emailed John. I said, hey, John, because I had him on the show I’m friends with him now, Tell me why a Lincoln ran for the U.S. House of Representatives and won but ran to serve one term. He announced it when he ran. Why did he run for one term? He could have served for 50 terms and been Speaker of the House.
And John Cribb emailed right back and solved the problem, which I’m not going to tell you about until later on because it has to do with 2022. So I’ll come back for that later on in the program.
But let’s get to what you need to know – today’s WYNK. Crisis Afghanistan: Day 9 and the news is out now that there are four people serving, four men serving in senior Taliban roles. The government has been formed.
Four members of the Taliban senior government are people, bad guys, who Barack Obama released in exchange for Bowe Bergdahl. Remember Bowe Bergdahl? He was the guy who walked away, he had deserted.
He was court marshalled later for it. And so four of these rotten dudes, four, we gave four of them up to get Bowe Bergdahl back, which was a terrible… at the time it was criticized as a terrible, terrible thing.
And most of the people who said, you know, why did we just exchange high level, high level. At the time, this is back when Obama was President. People said, why did we just give four major terrorist leaders for one deserter, a guy that was traitorous?
Now I don’t judge a whatever 22 year old kid. Why he became a traitor, why he walked away? Could have been mental health, I don’t know. But you are giving up four bad guys. And now they’re in the Taliban leadership. At a certain point, you say that wasn’t the Obama administration. That was the Obama-Biden administration. This was the policy.
Remember Joe Biden bragged, “I was the last guy in the room on every decision. I work with Barack on everything.” I don’t know whether to believe it or not, but it certainly said it. And but Obama always said it.
So here we have the policy of the two presidents, Obama and Biden. Is this what I’ve been trying to call incompetence? And last week, Salena Zito, the great writer who writes for The New York Post and The Washington Examiner and is many times on TV and all. She confronted me when I said, I thought it was incompetent. She said, It’s not incompetence. She said, it’s negligence.
At this point, it’s clearly negligence. We have a set of leaders who don’t know what they’re doing or it’s worse, the negligence, which is hard to say, right? I’m not somebody who goes all the way to thinking that these people are anti American traitors that are in office in the government. I don’t go that far, but at a certain point, we’re past incompetence.
We’re now in negligence. And to believe it’s negligence, you have to believe that they made these mistakes as opposed to did these things intentionally. Now I can’t read anybody’s minds. Susan Rice, Barack Obama… Excuse me…. Joe Biden, Barack Obama, either.
I can’t read their minds to know their intentions. But if you were going to destroy the confidence of We the People in our government and endanger our nation because of what the rest of the world thinks. If that was your goal, you couldn’t do better than what Obama did and what Biden’s done. You couldn’t do better.
If your goal was to destroy the confidence the world has in America as a serious leader, there’s nothing you could have done better. They did a great job. Great job. A perfect job. Obama Biden the perfect job at undermining America’s credibility in the world, making us look and be weaker and make America less safe.
And I’m not even right now talking about comparing it to what Trump would have done. I don’t really care to do that right now. I’m just saying, Crisis Afghanistan: Day 9 – We’ve got four dudes that got freed, bad guys, for Bowe Bergdahl the deserter. And we’ve got now Bagram Air Base, which the prison was emptied out. So there’s lots of bad guys out of there.
I think it was the prison at Bagram and the Bagram air base, the Chinese are saying maybe they’ll use it. And what they’re really saying is they’ll pay to fix it so that the Taliban and others can use it. And I did a radio interview, everybody knows on Wednesday mornings, I do an interview on a Champagne-Urbana radio station.
And they asked me, they said, you know what, what do you think about what’s happened? And I said, what I think about what’s happening, it’s never been this is this bad in terms of again, not changing the direction of what you’re doing. Incompetence is making dumb moves and then making them again.
Negligence is making dumb moves and not being able to change your mind, whether it’s political negligence or military negligence. At this point, we’ve got 100, 200, 500 Americans who are being held hostage. And the talk now is that since we actually blackmailed ourselves, we said, we want our people out.
That a week ago, we said, Joe Biden said, yeah, we’re gonna get all our people out no matter no matter what happens, no matter what date, by the way, we want them out. And then now we said, oh, yeah. So you’ve got some of our people, so we’ll pay you. We’ll green light all the aid from other countries and from the internationals because they won’t give you the money if we don’t say to. So we’ll green light it. We’re paying ourselves.
But we’re blackmailing ourselves. And yet we still haven’t gotten the people out. So we’re in this position. And I said on this radio interview, I don’t want this. I do not want this. I’m telling you now, I don’t want this. We should hope and pray it doesn’t come about. I hope and pray.
That rumor there’s a rumor that the State Department is negotiating with the Taliban to get all the people out, and we’ll have to pay them a bunch of money. Fine, fine. Get them out because I fear a hostage video where they’ve got some American or some legitimate Afghani who helped Americans and they mistreat them, or they show some Taliban fighters that look like they’re outside of the chain of command who do something terrible.
And then we’ll be in the position I mentioned yesterday where the saber rattling will be, what are we gonna do? And my answer would be, we got drones, we got missiles, we got bombers. We’re not going back in. But if you mess around, you’re gonna pay a price. That should be clear.
But you know what? It’s clear to me and you, it’s clear to sort of sane people. It’s not clear that we have people in the White House that are either sane, but I think they are sane. So they’re negligent or worse. Crisis Afghanistan: Day 9 – what you need to know is normal leaders would have changed course. They would have course corrected by now if they were just incompetent.
Jimmy Carter, he was just incompetent. And he tried to get guys out, and it messed up, and he didn’t know what to do, but they you’d course correct. You’d try something different. Right now we don’t have course correction. And at a certain point, that makes it so it’s not incompetence, it’s negligence or worse.
That’s what you need to know. And where it’s headed is not to a good place. And I’m going to say this – when your Obama-Biden two presidencies are overshadowed by the great philosopher Rahm Emanuel, who said, “never let a crisis go to waste.” And we’ve seen it over and over again.
We’re seeing it now where We the People are told “you have to take Afghani refugees, every other person in Afghanistan, every other Afghani was a translator, an interpreter. We have to take them all.” That’s what… they’re using the crisis to try to change We the People. Force us to act because we wouldn’t be good people if w e didn’t allow that.
So if that’s your mantra, never let a crisis go to waste, then giddy up, get another crisis. And so what will the next crisis be? I fear for those hostages. I fear for where we’re headed. And that’s what you need to know.
That’s what you need to know now, it’s not in competence. It’s worse. It’s negligence or even worse. The only reason I’m not saying it’s intentional is because I can’t read their minds to know their intent. But it looks like I think it would look the same. I think it would look the same.
And we should be very, very, very worried about that, because that’s putting us on a dangerous course. A dangerous, dangerous course. By the way, I’ll put this up piece up on the, uh, I was reading about this from the Western Journal. I love the Western Journal. My old friend Floyd Brown. I’ll put it up there. What you need to know, you can look at WesternJournal.com a lot and find out stuff.
