The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. Great to be together. And we have a lot to cover today. We could focus on Afghanistan, we could focus on Europe, we could focus on COVID. Why don’t we focus on all of those things by focusing on what’s happening in America, actually on her border. So let’s talk about that.
It’s what you need to know today, what you need to know today. And I’m glad you’re here. By the way, visit ProAmericaReport.com, ProAmericaReport.com to find out all the information. Okay, so we’re being inundated, is the soft term. We’re being invaded, is the hard term. But more importantly, it’s all being hidden from us because the media wants you to worry about all sorts of other things.
So what’s happening? You know, for the last two or three weeks, we’ve had on the show a couple of guys, one Todd Bensman from the Center for Immigration Studies and one of his colleagues also, talking about the issues surrounding the border. We have had issues with disease coming through the border. We have had issues about law enforcement at the border. There’s a report of a Mexican cartel folks shooting at our customs officials. It’s on and on and on.
And over the last four or five days, what you’ve seen, if you have to go search for it on social media – in fact, Todd Bensman’s in the middle of it – is this sort of – not sort of – it’s this massive increase or a surge of people coming across the Rio Grande. And it should be it should be troubling. At the same time, by the way, we have our local communities inundating us with requests. I got two today to help us, to help place the Afghan refugees. Now I again will state on the record.
I have no problem with Afghan refugees who actually fought in the war with us. That’s an honorable thing to do. But I don’t think at this point we can have any confidence that the Afghan refugees that are coming to this country are those people. Why? Because there’s no system checking.
And so it really annoys me that people are asking me to send money and donate stuff to this refugee situation where it’s a mess. And my point here is that the American people are fooled, because I don’t question the good will of the people who are trying to help refugees, quote, unquote. Except I just don’t think the system is working well.
So here we are at this moment in history. And in a few moments, we’ll talk with Mickey Kaus, Kaus files. Mickey Kaus is @kausmickey on Twitter. He’s an old fashioned Democrat who is a bit jaded on the unions, especially teachers unions, but especially jaded on the immigration question, thinking it’s a disaster for the country as well as for politics. And so we’ll talk with him. We’ve talked to him a number of times before, and we’ll talk about what’s going on.
Well, here’s the big breaking news. The parliamentarian in the US House and Senate, the parliamentarian, I guess it’s in the Senate technically has a big deal to say about what you can put in a bill that is a reconciliation, a budget bill. And the parliamentarian ruled on Sunday evening that you cannot put a massive Amnesty bill, which would have given people, illegals in this country, citizenship in some form or another, cannot be put into a reconciliation bill, which means it can’t pass without having to be sustained through the filibuster.
Now you’d say, oh, my gosh, my goodness, thank goodness that the parliamentarian was honest enough to say a bill that gives massive amounts of changes status from illegal to legal – That’s not a budget bill. That’s not a money thing. That’s a law thing which needs to be passed normally. So that’s… except Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi immediately said, “Well, we’ll look for anoher way to do it. We’re not gonna, listen, we’re not going to necessarily be bound by the parliamentarian.”
But here’s my point, one whole party, one whole party believes that it’s okay for us to be inundated/invaded by illegals on our border. That’s one whole party. The Biden administration is letting it happen to us, and we’re barely hearing about it. It’s barely coming up on our radar screen. They want us to run towards any other issue. They want to cover COVID deaths. If you go to CNN.com you will see every day a COVID death. It’s almost like ghoulish. They’ll cover a COVID death of someone who’s unvaccinated. And they’ll say, “oh, look at that. Unvaccinated person”… and it’s ghoulish. It’s actually ghoulish. It’s kind of, but it’s meant to persuade. It’s meant to make you think, oh, boy, look at that.
And one of the things that I can’t help but commenting on is the reality that often times they won’t show a picture – you have to search for a photo. Sometimes they will. And you certainly won’t get mentioned in the articles on CNN.com and other places that these people, the comorbidities they have. Including the big one, which is obesity. A lot of the people that are dying, especially the ones that are younger, it’s obesity as a factor. And they won’t cover that.
So anyway, so here we are in this country where the number one, I would say the number one threat to the future of our nation is the uncontrolled border, the uncontrolled immigration, including refugees, that we are getting no change to. We’re not getting any help on. No one is actually… we can say it’s a crisis. We can believe it’s a crisis. We can feel like it’s a crisis, but we’re not getting any coverage of it. You and I are, but we’re not getting any coverage of it.
So mainstream America, I just bobbing along thinking that things are going in the right direction and thinking the thing and, oh, well, I mean, there’s a terrible tragedy out in Grand Tetons. It looks like a woman that was missing has probably been killed. They found a body. Oh, we’ll cover that breathlessly. We’ll cover that breathlessly. But we won’t cover what’s happening on the border.
And so the narrative machine, big tech, big media and big government is absolutely positively hiding from us. One of the biggest stories that’s transforming this nation. And as someone expressed, I forget who I was. Oh, Jen Psaki said the people that are coming across the border unvaccinated, how come they’re not being stopped because they’re unvaccinated? And she said with a straight face, Jen Psaki, White House spokesperson, “Well, it’s a different. It’s a totally different thing. They’re not planning to stay here.”
What? Does she know anything about what’s going on? The people who come illegally, they’re planning on staying. That’s why! They’ve been interviewed and they said as soon as they heard Biden won and Biden said, “I won’t throw you out. I won’t push you out. I won’t make you stay.” They’re not coming to go home. Is she serious?
And the reason… it doesn’t matter, because if she’s wrong and just misguided, they won’t cover it. If she’s lying, they won’t cover it. And here we are. And I don’t know what to tell you, except every state legislature, every county legislature, every local community that can should weigh in on this. Even if it’s just to say, “what are we supposed to do when we get the high cost of illegals or the high cost of refugees? What are we supposed to do?”
And don’t tell us we’re supposed to, you’re going to pay for it – because they never give you enough money to pay for it. They it just don’t do it. It’s not, if you get somebody who’s here as a refugee, they give you a few thousand dollars. They’re going to be here for 50 years or 100 years. They’re going to transition into the country.
And again, the system is broken, right? I’m not complaining about the individuals. We all can say this. We can have two thoughts in our head at one time. Lots of people want to come to America for lots of reasons. Many, many of those reasons really good – better opportunity, more safety, all that. That’s all true. I can say that. And then I can say the second sentence. We can’t accept them. We cannot accept them. And the reason we can’t accept them today is because we have a system that isn’t making a rational decision or even an irrational decision about who to stay. We’re not saying who do we want. We’re not vetting people. We’re just letting the floodgates open in a time and in a place where we do have Covid, we do have shifts, we do have economic worries. We have all kinds of things.
And we have a system where we’re just told by the narrative machine, “Shut up and take it all. Just you all…” And I hate saying that phrase. My kids, if they hear it, they’ll yell at me because I always tell my kids not to say that phrase. I won’t say it again. But we’re just told. Just take it all. Take all the things we’re telling you. You have no right to object – if you object?
Oh, my gosh, if you object, if you object to the immigration thing, if you object to the refugee thing, we’re gonna call you a bigot and we will do it in such a way that when we’re done, people will think, people who are close to you will think, oh, yeah, he must be a bigot. They have the power to do that right now in this country.
And by the way, Europe is 25 or 30 or 40 years ahead of us. And their whole nation is being… whole nations are being transformed. Go to Italy, go to Spain, ask them what’s happening. It’s extraordinary. So I’m glad we’re having Mickey Kaus on. We’ll cover it more.
But listen, cut through the red tape. Cut through the lies. Cut through the nonsense. Try to find what you will and what you can about the immigration onslaught. Both illegals on the border and the refugees unvetted in our country. And get your voice heard. Get your voice heard on this because it’s so important.
All right, we’re gonna take a break. When we come back, We’ll talk with Mickey Kaus. We’ll also talk with Wayne Allyn Root. Wayne Allyn Root is a very successful communicator, radio show host, TV guy. He’s got a program on how to push back on the leftists, the communists. We’ll talk with him about that and a lot more.
