The following is a transcript of the first segment of the Pro America Report.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. And great to be together. We’ve got a lot to cover today.
In a few moments, we’ll talk with our old friend Ted Malloch. I want to ask Ted Malloch, who’s an expert on well, he’s an expert on international affairs and also business. I’m want to ask him about a piece he wrote about five days ago called Biden’s Foreign Policy Spread Eagle.
And he talks about how it seems like everything he does is surrendering. We’re now under another set of questions about ransomware attacks on American companies. And, of course, there’s no real strength coming out of the Biden administration.
We’ll see. We’ll talk with him.
We’ll also check in with Dr. Brett M. Decker. Dr. Decker, of course, is a specialist in many things. A New York Times, bestselling author, and also has spent much of his career, a bunch of his career, in Asia. We’ll talk with him about China, the Communist regime. Okay.
But we have to get to a few things today that happened earlier today. The biggest news, it’s only being mildly covered. But the biggest news is over in Pennsylvania.
State Senator Doug Mastriano, is… Doug Mastriano has decided, and he’s a state senator. He’s voted out of his committee subpoenas for a bunch of counties to do an audit of the Pennsylvania elections.
Now, what you need to know, like I’ve told you, over and over, is that politics and sort of the areas around politics are rarely a knockout blow. It’s death by a thousand cuts.
And last week and we talked about on the program yesterday, John Schlafly mentioned and gave us an analysis of the US Supreme Court giving an opening for real protections on election integrity and allowing States to do that and not being tied up by silly federal judges who say they can.
The big decision last week, the Arizona… the Supreme Court cases that were about Arizona laws. Well, this week, we have state Senator from Pennsylvania, Doug Mastriano, who is going ahead and saying we’re going to look and audit Pennsylvania, just like they’re doing in Arizona.
Again, getting to the bottom of this — it’s not about overturning the election. Some people think that could happen. I see that as long, I see that as a long shot, because I just don’t see how you sort of play out the politics of that.
But we’ll see. But more importantly, what you’re trying to do is make sure that this doesn’t happen again and that we don’t have in 2022 or 2024 or anytime.
And we get to the bottom of what happened. And you’re only gonna do that by a thousand subpoenas or a thousand cuts. However you want to look at it, you just gotta make slow but steady progress and get to the bottom of what exactly happened and see what you can find out.
Some of it may be a smoking gun. It may be something dramatic where people are saying, Oh, Yeah. See, that that’s a real problem. That’s a real it could be that there’s fraud.
I have always maintained that there is fraud. I don’t know how much I do think that the more likely or one of the likely things you’re going to find is that the Democrats knew what they were doing, when they talked about fortifying the election.
In other words, they had a lot of legal plans to try to get things to go the way it went. I think they had some that were legal.
I’m not sure we’ll ever get to the bottom of those, but we may get to the point where we say, Hey, look at all of the things that we found and what they were doing.
And you will be able to say, even if if you can’t put them in jail, you can say, Yeah, there are things that were done that were way outside of the norm and whether they’re legal or not.
And we’ll find out, but we’ll get to the bottom. So that’s good news.
Another piece of good news, and I feel a little mixed on this one, is that Donald Trump is fighting back and is leading a lawsuit that would sue all big tech for violations of, a class action of his rights as well as others.
He’s the leading a participant in a class action. Now, the reason I feel a little mixed on this is a lot of people… And I can’t say I was a big leader on this, but I had some role in talking about it during his presidency.
We thought Donald Trump should do more against the tech giants. It feels like he thought he could charm them like he did in 2016, where they loved the attention and the action.
And therefore, even if they disagreed with his policies, they never shut him down. Well, they decided to shut him down. And I think a lot of us predicted that they would do that when they needed to, and they certainly did.
We now see how powerful that is. You talk about things that were done in the election cycle in 2020… The burying of the Hunter Biden laptop. The New York Post wrote about it. Everyone else didn’t, including big tech.
They shut it down, and Twitter was pulling down any accounts that were commenting on it. Big tech and the main mainstream media had a massive role in promoting the polls that were almost universally incorrect, polls that show that Trump was going to lose by nine or 10 and everybody was going to lose that was a Republican and all that kind of stuff. That all turned out to be false.
And I believe it really it was the use of what I call fake polls. It was meant to suppress turnout for Trump. It was also meant to change your mind.
A lot of people, psychologists study this… Behavioral psychologists study this all the time. And they look at this and they say, people want to join the winner. If you do a poll, I’ll never forget John Ashcroft, the Attorney Aeneral, former Attorney General of the United States, as well as a Senator for Missouri and longtime Missouri politician.
He once told me, if everybody that voted for you, if everybody that tells you they voted for you, actually voted for you, you would have won. He was joking because I lost my race really close. And he lost an early race. I think he ran for Congress.
Everybody’s gonna tell you they voted for you. And he said, But you’re just gonna sit there and shake your head and say, How could I not win?
And the point here is that lots of people are persuaded and want to be on the winning side. That is part of the reason why you see the media fight so hard to get a narrative.
Excuse me, let me say that better. That’s why you see candidates and campaigns from politicians to businesses fight to get a narrative because they know the narrative has a persuasive effect.
It will move people in a direction. And so in this case, Joe Biden got every single possible break he could get. He had the nicest coverage from the media.
And Meanwhile, Donald Trump was slogging uphill. And so now it is true now that the President, he only got silenced after the election. So I don’t want to over do that.
But his lawsuit now is about his silencing and others, and we’ll see how he does in terms of making some progress. Again, some of us feel a little mixed on this because it feels like something he could have addressed more specifically while he was in power while he was in office.
One last comment, because it’s closer to home in the Commonwealth of Virginia, there is a great big county called Loudoun County, which is about 30 or 40 miles west of the swamp.
And out there, lots of folks live, lots of farms, lots of folks live, it’s a good place, nice people. I live in Fairfax County, a little closer to the swamp.
But Loudoun County is on the front page of Politico over the school board fights and the school board fights that are happening in Loudoun County and every county, it looks like.
And we now have definitive proof of of the power and the insanity of the school teachers unions. In the last four or five days, the NEA has had their annual convention, and they passed resolutions saying that they support Critical Race Theory – they used another name for it. But they also said they will take on and any parents group that is opposing them, and they will defend any teacher or school board member who has to fight back against these parents.
Now, after that was passed, these resolutions, the head of the NEA said as does much in a speech. Now they’re all backtracking. They’re all backpedaling. They’re saying it’s not what the meant, it’s not what they’re doing, it’s not blah blah blah, bing, bing bing.
It doesn’t matter. No matter what now, people know in this country that the fight for our future, it will go through the schools and our school boards.
And my only caution here is, as you find out the truth of the school boards. My caution is that you understand how important it is to have a solution on the other side.
In other words, being against Common Core, which is five years ago, a lot of people got snowed when they thought, Yeah, I won Common Core. And then they changed the name of the thing. They went back to what they were doing, and people moved on with their lives.
Right now, you’re seeing the teachers unions saying, we’re gonna stand up and roll you. And now they’re starting to retreat a bit and say, Well, we’re changing the name. We’re not gonna call it Critical Race Theory. We’re gonna call it equity.
And we’re gonna see if we can get parents and others to move on. And frankly, it happens a lot that parents and others move on.
And the reason has to do with the fact that most people, they pay taxes, they live in a place, and they want to believe the decisions they make for their kids are good ones. Most people don’t want to be told you put your kids through a hellish existence. They don’t want to hear that.
So in this case, we need to make room for people to recognize that whatever their choices in the past, now, the teachers union went too far. That’s a psychology thing. But if we can do that, I think we’re gonna see people opposed to the direction of the school boards.
And then the solution is, first of all, teach patriotism. That’s true. But another part of the solution is recognize that every kid is different.
And parents have different ideas what their kids should have. Sometimes that has to do with vo-tech, sometimes has to do with attention deficit. Sometimes has to do with a preference of families. And we should have the dollars from taxes. follow the students so students can go wherever it’s best for them.
For black kids in an inner city that might even be a boarding school. For conservative Christians in a suburban area that might be a Christian school. That preference should be parents.
There’s a lot going on. It’s good stuff. It’s a good day.
We’ll take a break. We’ll be right back. We will talk again with a Dr. Brett M. Decker and Ted Malloch. Be right back.
Ed Martin here in the Pro America Report. Talk to you in a moment.
