So today we’ve got a couple of great guests – James Reston, Jim Reston, Jr.’s with us. He’s got the book called The 19th Hijacker, A Novel of 9/11. I booked him a while ago because I knew 9/11 was in a few weeks and I wanted to be ready. But also after the Afghanistan situation, will be very interesting to talk to him.
And we’ll also catch up with Steve Byas. I always wonder if I’m pronouncing that wrong. Byas, he’s a professor out in Oklahoma. He has written a book called History’s Greatest Libels, A Challenge to Some of the Great Lies of History. He’s a great character, wonderful guy. We’ll have him on.
But before we get to that, let me tell you how excited I am today. I realized when I saw a tweet from Ann Coulter. Ann Coulter said, and see, I don’t watch a lot of TV. I’ve got too much work to do. I’ve got too much to think about. I’ve got too many kids at home. My wife and I have a lot of fun together, so I don’t watch a lot of TV.
So I don’t see Tucker Carlson, for example, every night. And a lot of Conservatives and Pro America folks do. So last night, I guess Tucker Carlson used the phrase, “invade the world, invite the world.” And that’s a phrase or some variation of it that Steve Sailer used.
Steve Sailer is a journalist, and he’s a writer, and he’s a thinker. And maybe importantly, in this case, he is a target by all the right groups, all the groups that you if you get targeted by them, you know, you’re onto something.
Right Wing Watch and the Southern Poverty Law Center, they all hated my old boss, the late Phillis Schlafly. They attacked her. They attacked her mercilessly without fail. Unceasingly. They attacked her, mercilessly, all of them.
Well, Steve Sailer’s like that. But I notice Coulter’s tweet and she said, Steve Sailer, Tucker Carlson’s quoting Steve Sailer – he’s now in the mainstream. Because what they do, what the narrative machine does is if you don’t agree, if you are… well, no, let me be clear, if you are effective and you’re close to the target and they can do it, meaning they can marginalize you – they will.
So somebody like Coulter, they’ve had a hard time marginalizing because she got so popular so fast. And so she’s sort of a big figure. It’s hard to do. But remember, pick a figure. General Flynn is the one that comes to my mind.
I’m gonna talk later on in the program. His book, The Field of Fight, The Field of Fight, which came out I think it was in 2014. No wait, it must have been 2015 because he left the service of the government… oh 2016. His book came out in 2016, The Field of Fight, I guess, early in 2016. And read that book, read the second to last chapter, How to Win, and you get a sense. But he was silenced.
A lot of really talented people who are speaking the truth get silenced. Really dramatic. Because one of the things that Tucker Carlson does more than anything, he creates space for people who are actually thoughtful, serious thinking people that have something to say. He creates space for them to come out in the open.
And today I want to celebrate Steve Sailer going from whatever the margins are that they tried to put him on into the mainstream. And he’s really worth reading. He talks about how America is being transformed and… be ready – the Southern Poverty Law Center is going to say he’s racist. He’s this, he’s that – it’s nonsense.
He’s very thoughtful. He’s a journalist, investigative journalist, I think, originally, but he’s very thoughtful. He’s really interested in what’s happening. Now, he has an opinion. And one of the opinions is that we have been dominated.
Well, no, let me state my opinion. Let me say that when I read him, it makes me think about some of the aspects of what he’s saying, talking about how policies on immigration, policies on changing the makeup of America have an impact on America.
That’s so surprising, isn’t it? In a world where we have 2 million people coming through the southern border of various ethnicities, racial backgrounds, socioeconomic things, health issues, also, 2 million. We have the 150,000,000 people. It’s.… 2 million is a lot.
And now, Afghanistan has fallen. And don’t worry, because if you thought it was such a failure, if you thought the 20 years was a failure of leadership, of military insight at the end here of planning, you know, watching this debacle of planning.
I’m not saying it would ever be easy to get out, but clearly, Joe Biden and his team have been clueless. I mean, there’s nobody that’s saying they’re proud of what’s gone on. Nobody is saying, look, I don’t know anybody serious who will not concede that the Taliban taking over some time in the future was not likely.
Everybody concedes that. In a weekend? In two days on the march? Not even allowing there’s still hundreds, if not thousands, of Americans stuck in Afghanistan. We’re close to a, we could be in a situation where we have a hostage crisis.
But back to Steve Sailer, the phrase or the sort of doctrine that Steve Sailer talked about and has talked about and Tucker Carlson was quoting was “invade the world, invite the world.”
And in this case, we’re living through it. Do not be fooled by the people that say, oh, my gosh, it’s so chaotic. We must now welcome 100,000, 200,000 Afghan refugees to America. Do not be fooled. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re a translator for Army Corporal or helping with something, should you have a chance to apply to come to America. Probably. I think that’s right.
But when we have tens of thousands, when the system of war-making created the chaos – no refugees to America. And you’re seeing these idiots like the governor of Georgia, Kemp, saying, oh, we’ll take them. And the governor of Virginia saying, we’ll take them unvetted, unchecked, unknown.
And here’s what we do know. We know this from intelligence that there’s a great chance that the, among other things, there’ll be terrorist types in there. There’ll be cells in there, there’ll be people put in there.
And this is, by the way, we’re not playing around again. Remember what I told you about the Monroe Doctrine? The Monroe Doctrine is about the systems of coming into our hemisphere. You cannot welcome systems like the Communist regime in China or, in this case, Sharia law, which is what they’re doing.
Now, here’s my point, Steve Sailer has been saying that when the playbook of nation building falls apart – and it has again – the fallback on the people that don’t really understand America or hate America, one of the two.
Either one of those two is true. They say, oh, we invite them all to America. Let’s just have everybody come to America. It’ll drive down wages of Americans. It’ll not allow people to assimilate in our country. It will put people in our country who are actively against our country.
Why is that a good idea? It’s not. And Steve Sailer has for years written and talked about this. And here’s what I want to tell you. There was a great guy who was on MSNBC. He was a military veteran, and he took apart Brian Williams. Brian Williams saying “oh you know, Joe Biden in his speech the other day, he really owned the problem.”
And you may have seen this military, retired military. And he said – he didn’t own I it watched the speech. It was a mess. It was terrible. It’s horrendous. He’s leaving all these people to die. They should come to America. We all welcome all these refugees.
Listen, honor your service. I honor it. But don’t fool us like this. The fallback position of the people who are transforming this country, who are causing this country into chaos. The neocons sometimes you call them, is to invade the world and then invite them in.
And that’s the game they’re doing now. We must resist it. We cannot afford, by the way, any Afghani refugees, lots of people – excuse me – lots of neighbors, lots of places, even lots of American bases and places. You can process them in the neighborhood over there, not over here.
This is a fundamental moment. Look, I’m… one of the things that’s a mess. It’s a terrible tragedy. I really feel for veterans, people that have fought over there and lost friends and family and all. And my brother was a Marine over there. All these things. We have to be very careful about it.
But I will say this, it was a mess on the way out. Biden deserves a lot of the blame, but at least we’re out of there. And now we have to say to ourselves, don’t get back into one of these situations.
And more importantly, now we have to reexamine who we are. If we’re not people that nation build, then who are we? And we can be the greatest nation for ourselves first and then helping the world, then teaching the world. But not by nation building, not by invading, not by fools’ errands. I mean, the will of the military was not to win this by the end. But that’s just where we are.
All right, we got to take a break. We’ll come back. We got Jim Reston. And we’ll also talk with Professor Byas. And I’ll wrap up today talking about the book Field of Fight by Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn. Be right back. Ed Martin here in the Pro America Report, back in a moment.
