The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. Ed Martin here in the Pro America Report, and we have another great show. We have another great show. There’ll be a lot to cover. We will cover it all together, including an interview with Neil Munro of Breitbart.com, the guy’s on fire covering the questions surrounding immigration, migration, all kinds of things.
And he has a piece from a few days ago that I asked him to come on and talk about, which is in the massive 3.5 trillion, and it’s really $5 trillion, reconciliation bill. There was amnesty for illegals — that got removed by the parliamentarian, said you can’t do that one. But there is all sorts of other changes that impact migration and effectively immigration broadly, we’re talking tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of immigrants being let in immediately. So we’ll talk with Neil Munro from Breitbart about that.
We’ll also get an update from Tammy Nichols. Tammy Nichols – and this is a great segue to what you need to know today – Tammy Nichols, of course, our friend who serves in the Idaho legislature, amazing lady, small business owner. I think she has seven children. She looks like she’s about 35, I think she might be closer to 55, but she’s a wonderful presence, leader, former Eagle leader now in the Legislature.
She got suspended from Facebook and she doesn’t know why. I mean, she’s a pretty hard nose conservative, but she doesn’t know why. It’s about a week suspension. She got back out, which brings us to Facebook. The question you have to ask is, does Facebook suspend people who are not conservative or are not kind of on the right side of the aisle? I don’t know the answer to that. There probably are some cooks on the far left, but it seems like a lot of good folks that should be otherwise on Facebook without a problem, get suspended, get knocked off, whatever else, including the President of the United States when he was President Donald Trump. So in the last…
What you need to know today, what you need to know, this is it: The narrative machine is in full effect to try to convince the American people, to tell them the truth of the problem of Facebook and how to fix it — and it’s all a setup. Okay, so watch how this played out over the last few days. You probably saw the coverage, you saw Facebook – there was a whistleblower. Oh, my gosh. A whistleblower. Wow. What a thing. A whistleblower from Facebook.
Well, the woman that’s a whistleblower. I think she graduated College in Iowa, did a Harvard MBA and worked at Facebook for two years in some kind of division that had something to do with, I don’t know, integrity or citizenship or something. And she quit after her job was eliminated. Her department’s eliminated, which is a bit of a telltale. When your job gets eliminated, usually you’re laid off and then you’re bitter and become a whistleblower.
But more importantly, she’s being handled, managed, instructed on the niceties of public relations by not the greatest PR company in the world, because there are those that exist. Not one of the big names you’d know, but a total left wing guy named Bill Burton, who was an Obama guy.
Now you could say, well, but the Obama guys weren’t they really good PR? Not really. The first batch in the campaign in 2008 were. After that, it was a mess and frankly, they did a terrible job for Obama. He was terrible at it all, but he just thought he should say, I’m Obama, leave me alone, I’m great. Bill Burton is a total insider, Democrat, leftist hack. And he is the Sherpa bringing this woman around, this whistleblower. So she’s a Democrat.
I think we know that now – she’s given to Democrats. She’s a left leaning. And by the way, the incredible thing about her story, which has been packaged up and delivered to who? (Remember the narrative machine: Big tech, big media, big government…) Big media. The Wall Street Journal has the first break of the great Facebook whistleblower. And she talks about how she was for Facebook. And then she saw that some people are drawn into Facebook and they become…her friend… He became really right wing. He really got drawn in like a Trump supporter. And that turned her. She said, I can’t… there’s all misinformation. This person has been corrupted.
Wall Street Journal on Sunday night, 60 Minutes. Unbelievable. So here’s big media setting it all up. Right? Giving people the appearance of something that isn’t true, whatever she is, I just don’t know that I believe Wall Street Journal and 60 Minutes, how they portray it. Here’s where it gets interesting. Immediately after, Tuesday morning, the U.S. Senate (big government)… Remember, narrative machine is big tech, big media, big government. So the first part big media, Wall Street Journal, 60 Minutes.
Second part, big government. The Senate, U.S. Senate, calls this woman before it, has these incredible hearings. Wow. There she is. She’s very bright eyed and she’s got well dressed, serious woman. And she’s got all these great points. And she’s really well prepared. And here comes Senator Dick Bloomenthal, DaNang Dick, as he’s called the guy that said he was in Vietnam fighting as a Marine and never left the shores of America… for 25 years he said it and finally got caught in the lie… But there he is saying, well, why this is unbelievable. And the Republicans join in. Oh, wow. This is terrible. Instagram is bad for girls. Facebook can be harmful for people. Wow, this is amazing.
So now you got big tech. Excuse me. Big media, big government. Together. The narrative machine is about two thirds done. And here’s where it gets rich. The solution that the whistleblower is offering and the senators, both parties, are tripping over themselves to agree to is that, oh, my goodness. We have to stop the bad speech that corrupts people. That makes your friend become a rightwing lunatic or hurts girls. We must. We must – big government – help stop bad speech. We’ll be the ones that say what the speech is. We’ll be the ones that control it.
And here’s how we’ll do it. We’ll take away the 230, section 230, protection, and we’ll make it so that these Facebook and Google and others have to police the bad speech. They have to get the bad speech to stop. And the woman sat there, this whistleblower, she says, we need a special agency where someone like me can go to grad school at Harvard Business School, then go to work in one of these companies and then move into one of these regulatory agencies and regulate the content.
Big tech, big government, big media now has the whole thing wrapped up. What they’ve said. And what you need to know is, we’re going to solve the problem that we are showing you is a problem. And by the way, I’m not disputing it’s a problem. Instagram is terrible, especially for kids. Facebook is not healthy, not because of what they’re saying in this thing, not because of the speech they don’t like. It’s because the algorithms and how they use addiction to addict people to this process to make them crazy. But that’s beside the point.
Here’s what they’ve got now is they’ve got it all teed up, the narrative machine so that we can solve it. We can increase the power of big government and the unity of big tech. And when it comes down to it, the other part of this that’s so important to the big tech people is don’t start a conversation of breaking up Facebook, say, spinning off Instagram, making it survive on its own, deal with its own problems. Facebook deal with its own. Don’t break up Google, YouTube, and the Alphabet soup. That is all that stuff. Don’t break that up. No, no.
Big tech says, just let us fix what’s going on. And here’s the real trick box. If you and I, if five of us start our own platform, let’s do a search engine. Let’s start a social media network. We won’t have the horsepower, the money, the ability, the influence to try to deal with the regulatory framework. We won’t have a thousand lawyers like Facebook has. We won’t have ten thousand employees like Google has. We won’t have the ability to hire people to manage the regulatory burden that will be created.
But wait for it – by the the Senate and the House and the President and given to bureaucrats. And you know who will have the ability to influence the bureaucrats and the Senate and the House and the White House? Google. Alphabet. Facebook. Twitter to some extent. So you see the trap. The trap has been set to capture the American people in this narrative that oh, yeah, it’s terrible. There’s a whistleblower. She’s managed the whole time by the Democrats to fulfill a Democrat goal, which is more control over speech.
I can assure you in a week where the Department of justice is stating that it will go and make sure that the speech of parents at school board meetings, school board meetings don’t get violent. Just saying it out loud as the effect of silencing, or at least kind of giving people pause. In a week where that happens, you don’t think that this Kabuki theater that’s been engineered by the narrative machine is not set up to deliver exactly what they want, which is more control over speech and target the speech they don’t like. Whether it’s January 6. Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. Pro lifers. Remember back what they did.
By the way, they tried this dry run back in the day after the Tea Party. They said, people that have don’t tread on me signs on their car – those people are suspect. They are seriously suspect. We got to worry about them. That’s what they did ten years ago, eleven years, eleven years ago. And they had those fusion centers where they put out the word. If you got pro life stickers, could be a real problem. Could be on a watch list.
What you need to know is the Facebook Kabuki theater is the narrative machine at work, like you’ve seen it in the January 6 hoax, like you’ve seen it in the big lie of the 2020 election. Like you’ve seen it, Russia hoax, fine people hoax in Charlottesville, drinking bleach hoax, all of them.
But this one is a really dangerous, well, they’re all dangerous, but this one is a really good one in the sense that – it’s not good – I’m saying it’s a really well done one, meaning that they’re trying to grab more power to control speech. They know what they’re doing, they know what they’re doing. And the Facebooks of the world and the Google, YouTubes of the world, and the others are saying, we better make a deal with the devil we know, the devil we can control, rather than have to deal with true regulation or antitrust breakup or anything else.
Remember that’s what Trump’s people were doing. Was looking to break them up. And that’s what you need to know. All right, we’ve got to take a break and be right back. It’s Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report.
